TCM Physician Treat A Diabetic Patient with Toe Infection

TCM Physician Treat A Diabetic Patient with Toe Infection

On July, 2011, I have a diabetic patient, male, age 73, who came to see me 3 weeks ago. He complained of his toe which was swollen due a brush against the table.  The toe was swollen and with fluid exudation. He also has eczema problem on his legs for some time. I told him that he had to be careful, as many diabetic patients with a wound on the first toe ended up with amputation. I prescribed him some herbal oral medicine for the eczema and also some cream and powder.  After the 3rd week, the nail of his toe came off and also the skin tried up and healed.
