An elderly lady, age 65, complained of having hypertension, ache and pain. She felt that she had water retention and often had back pain.  She could not squat because of her knee pain. She said her family doctor asked her to reduce weight so that her upper body would not add pressure to her knee.  So, she decided to come for weight management. She was obese and weighed about 92 kgs. She told me that she wanted to reduce weight not because she wanted to be beautiful but to stay healthy. 

We told her that the whole process of TCM weight management can improve her general health condition. Many of them also find that their neck pain, neck stiffness, back pain, digestion, stomach bloatedness, stomach wind, bowel movement also improve after the treatments. 

We will do cupping, acupuncture, heat treatment, moxibustion and massage to help to reduce cellulite. We would advise patients to avoid taking supper and should not take too much of oily foods, sugary food and cold drinks.  The cost of 8 sessions is $650 without medication*. As slimming treatment take at least two to three months to see result, patients must have patience!  Normally patients will continue to come if they find improvement.  

Each session of slimming obesity programme consists of cupping, acupuncture, heat treatment and moxibution. If they wish we can also prescribe medicine for them. The slimming obesity programme is designed by our TCM physicians on individual basis.  Our TCM physicians will have to see if the obese patients have hypertension, diabetes, heart issues and their lifestyle etc. 

Our TCM clinic have slimming obesity programme for more than 20 years and have treated many slimming obesity patients and are successful.

One of the patients told us that she came for one month losing about 5 kgs and continued for another two months with us. She told me that she had slimmed down about 13 ~14 kgs and felt that her body was lighter and did not feel as tired as before.
