TCM Doctor Physician Treatment for Heel Pain-- Calcaneal Spur

TCM Doctor Physician Treatment for Heel Pain-- Calcaneal Spur

I have treated many patients with complaints of heel pain. There are few types of heel spur. The most common one is the first picture. A calcaneal spur is a small bony projection that is formed on the calcaneus or heel bone. It is caused by putting too much pressure on the sinew on the soles of the feet, usually over a long period of time. Normally, patients seek treatment from TCM physicians as western doctors do not recommend surgery for calcaneal spur. We treat by acupuncture and herbal plastering. Normally, after one course (10 sessions), the pain should go away.
