Special Prescriptions and Methods for the Treatment of Piles Hemorrhoids

Special Prescriptions and Methods for the Treatment of Piles Hemorrhoids

TCM treatment for Piles (Haemorrhoids) Hemorrhoids with Special Prescriptions and Methods in Singapore. No Pain and No Surgery is necessary

Hemorrhoids also called piles, are swollen veins in your anus and lower rectum. Hemorrhoids have a number of causes. They may result from straining during bowel movements or from the increased pressure on these veins during pregnancy.

Often, the first sign of internal hemorrhoids are present is rectal bleeding. Straining can sometimes push an internal hemorrhoid so that it protrudes through the anus. This is called a protruding or prolapsed hemorrhoid and can be painful.

Piles become problematic (haemorrhoidal disease) when they swell up and/or bleed during defecation. For some, both internal and external haemorrhoids can occur simultaneously. It is estimated that 35% of the population has a form of haemorrhoid. Generally, most cases of haemorrhoids are mild and people do not experience any symptoms.

Piles can be classified into four grades:
  • First degree: Internal piles that bleed, but do not pop outside anus.
  • Second degree: Piles that prolapse past the anus during bowel movement but reduce spontaneously.
  • Third degree: Piles that are prolapsed and must be manually reduced by pushing back into the anus.
  • Fourth degree: Piles that are permanently prolapsed and cannot be reduced, or piles with painful blood clots.
A young girl, age 18, came with her mother to see me for her Piles.  She said that she discovered she had bleeding after passing motion about one year ago. After sometime, she realized that the bleeding became more whenever she passed motion.  Sometimes, she saw some blood at the surface of her faeces.  She had pain before and after bowel motion.  She said she loved to eat fried and spicy food. And often she passed bowel motion about 3 to 4 days once and her stool tend to be very hard.  About two months later, she had diarrhoea, her bleeding became worse when she passed motion. She felt dizzy and she started to perspire and her face became very pale. Her parents quickly sent her to Ng Teng Fong Hospital. The hospital carried out examination and discovered that she had three internal haemorrhoids in her rectum. The Post-Operative Diagnosis was PR (bleeding per rectum) [K62.5]. Surgery was performed and the procedure was Flexible sigmoidoscopy KIV rubber band Lugation of hemorrhoids kiv proceed ANUS, HEMORRHOIDS, INJECTION/LIGAION/BANDING. Her bleeding stopped.  She was discharged after three days.

Two and a half month after being discharged from the hospital, she again had bleeding again when she passed motion.  This time the bleeding was not much and though she felt tired, she did not feel dizzy. She said that there were altogether three haemorrhoids, only two bigger haemorrhoids were ligated, so she was worried that the third haemorrhoid might have caused the bleeding. So, her brother introduced her to see me, hoping to find a cure for her bleeding.  I treated her with medication and her bleeding stopped after two days.  I told her she can eat fried and spicy food, but not too much and also not to eat them consecutively in a few days.  Subsequently, 8 months later she came with her friend who had eczema problem. She said she had no bleeding problem ever since her last visit to our TCM clinic Yong Kang Medical Hall at Telok Blangah.

Below is a picture of the location of her haemorrhoids:

Medicine to Take After the Surgery

There was another Eurasian lady, age 52, who was suffering from constant haemorrhoids bleeding. She came and told me that her piles (external piles) were swollen and she felt very uncomfortable when she was sitting down. I prescribed herbal medicine for her and five days later her piles subsided and the bleeding of her haemorrhoids stopped.

Most people have external haemorrhoids and internal hemorrhoids.  External haemorrhoids can be viewed from the anus but internal haemorrhoids can only be ascertained by further examination. Below is the picture of internal haemorrhoids and internal haemorrhoids.

Many patients with hemorrhoid problem came to our clinic. We have special prescriptions and methods to reduce the piles hemorrhoids. They are very effective. Most of these patients were young adults while some were in the middle age.
